Having arrived back in New Jersey yesterday, I am REALLY fighting jet lag today. In spite of that, 1 felt I just had to sit down and write a short note of thanks. Never having had a deep desire to visit Ireland, I approached this trip with the anticipation of going on vacation, but little else. After spending a week with some one who so obviously loves their country and its traditions, I look forward to returning someday, and really exploring Ireland in depth. You made its history and its people come alive with your deep knowledge, warmth and humor. I could not have asked more of anyone. I truly did feel as if I were just a "little bit Irish", and that I could have been a piece of a puzzle that fits right in. If, during your up-coming trip to the States, you find yourself in the New Jersey area, please do not hesitate to call.
